Warping and Wefting

My experiments with weaving.

I have always been intimidated by techniques that seem too technical, but I really wanted to learn weaving. So instead of waiting until I had the right tools or enough confidence, I made a simple cardboard loom at home and just got started.

Once I got the hang of it, I began to have fun and play more with it. I experimented with weaving fallen leaves and flowers, combined embroidery with weaving, and even tried weaving a face.

I like it when my cat comes and curls up next to me when I am weaving. Probably she finds it just as comforting as I do!
