Naga's Land by Play Clan
“When you walk in Nagaland, Jesus walks with you”, they say.
But Before Christ, there were spirits who roamed here, rivers that gave directions, trees that promised food, clothing and shelter and mountains who watched over its people. There were myths and mythology, warriors and shamans, men with tiger spirits and tiger with the spirits of men. There were women who would weave stories in shawls, and men who would craft their lives in bamboo and cane. There were tales and tattoos, etched in people’s minds and bodies, morungs where boys became men, feasts and festivals that celebrated and worshiped the land. There were headhunters responsible for the safety and fertility of the land, birds who brought success on their wings, animals who gave strength and power to its people and stones that were fondly called their ancestors.
